How foreigners establish foundation in Turkiye ?

As stated in Article 5 and 6 of the Foundation Law , foreigners can establish new foundations in Turkiye according to legal and actual reciprocity. However the majority of those taking position in the management bodies of the new foundations have to be resident in Turkiye.

Foundation founder/founders are not obliged to be a citizen of the Republic of Turkiye .

Opening of Branches and AGENCY of foreign foundations in Turkiye

Opening of branches/agency of foreign foundations in Turkiye is regulated by the 5253 numbered Law of Associations and Assosiation regulations.The application on this subject must be made to  Ministry of Interior, Director General of Civil Society Relations.

The branch/agency begins its activity with the authorization of the Ministry of Interior and again ends with the authorization of the Ministry.of Interior

The Monitoring of foreign foundations branch /agency in Turkey according to the laws and objectives is made by The Directorate General of Foundations.
