The Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s Directorate General of Foundations continues its aid efforts without pause for its geographical area of concern. In addition to routine assistance, the Directorate has also taken the initiative during disasters, recently sending 1,000 boxes of dry food aid to Bosnia and Herzegovina, which experienced a flood disaster.
As part of its aid efforts to Bosnia and Herzegovina, which recently experienced a flood disaster, the Directorate General of Foundations has dispatched 1,000 boxes of dry food in the first phase.
The aid will be delivered to affected families in areas including the towns of Jablanica, Konjic, Fojnica, Kiseljak, and Kresevo. The boxes contain flour, tomato paste, sunflower oil, dried beans, pasta, red lentils, vermicelli, rice, tahini halva, dried grapes, and wafers.
Since 2014, the Directorate General has been providing dry food aid abroad to fulfill the charitable conditions specified in the foundations, coordinated by the Foreign Relations Department.
On October 4, a flood disaster in the central and southern regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina resulted in 27 fatalities, with numerous injuries and missing persons reported. As a result of the floods and landslides that hit the country, roads, railways, and bridges were destroyed, and many settlements became inaccessible.
